She Hulk is BUSTED!
Awesome She Hulk decks and how to play them!
She-Hulk is one of many powerful and exciting new cards released recently. I was lucky enough to open She-Hulk this weekend and play some games with her. I have really enjoyed playing with She-Hulk, and I want to share my progress with my readers!
She-Hulk + Death + Wave
The most natural and powerful She-Hulk combo I can think of is in a deck that enables Death. If you have 4 cards die over the course of the game, and play Wave on turn 5, you’d have enough mana to play She-Hulk + Death + Any other Card. This is an extremely strong interaction, and if I had Death, I’d be playing this.
But fear not, I have plenty ideas of how to use She-Hulk until I get Death!
Five is the Magic Number
My favorite thing to do with She-Hulk is to pass turn 5, see where my opponent plays, then play a big 5 drop + She-Hulk on turn 6!
Being able to bank all of your mana on turn 5 for She-Hulk is a lot like Daredevil’s effect. But unlike Daredevil, you don’t have to commit to playing your cards in a lane on turn 5! So She-Hulk has like a built in Über Daredevil effect, it’s so cool!
What’s cooler than one She-Hulk?
TWO SHE-HULKS!
This deck is ALL about She-Hulk and getting every last drop of value out of passing on turn 5 without spending your energy. Importable version can be found in the footnotes.1
This deck has one of my favorite combos in Marvel Snap: Moon Girl + Devil Dinosaur. It puts out a little bit of power here and there in the early game, but in the late game it drops massive amounts of power leaving your opponent wondering where it all went wrong.
Let’s do some quick hits!
Sunspot
Sunspot and She-Hulk both appreciate unspent energy. They’re two great tastes that taste great together!
Moon Girl + Quinjet
Moon Girl can give you another she-hulk! Combine that with QuinJet plus a little bit of luck and you can play TWO She-Hulks + a 5 drop + a 2 drop on turn 6! That could be over 30 power worth of cards across all 3 lanes, how is your opponent ever going to play around that?!
QuinJet is a nice combo with Moon Girl, but it’s more like icing on the cake. Moon Girl + She-Hulk is the real treat here.
I have to play around Nightcrawler too?
Nightcrawler helps you hide your intentions until the very last moment, just like She-Hulk. Not only does your opponent have to play around She-Hulk + a 5 energy card on turn 6, they also have to play around Nightcrawler, which might not seem like much but it can be a big deal to have additional options on the final turn.
The Consistency Chavez
Having Chavez in your deck increases your chances of drawing your other cards in your deck before turn 6. The later in the game you need the card, the stronger this effect is, since you’re essentially drawing from an 11 card deck on turns 1-5.
Having Chavez in your deck increases your chance to draw She-Hulk by turn 5 by 6% and it increases your chances of drawing Moon Girl by turn 4 by 5.3%. Your deck gets significantly better when you have both Moon Girl and She-Hulk, so I think Chavez pulls some serious weight here.
Chavez is also 6 energy for 9 power, just 1 less than She-Hulk, so if you don’t draw She-Hulk and your curve has to be Devil Dinosaur on 5 into Chavez on 6, it’s not that bad.
